"But for a millimetre in height Finlay would be receiving publicly
funded growth hormone treatment. The irony of course is that the
Forsyth’s are funding it themselves and now Finlay will never make the
criteria because it’s working."
This programme was followed up with a radio interview of the Forsyths by
Mike McRoberts on Radio Pacific on Wednesday 27 October.

Small Mercies

"Despite international recommendations that growth hormone
treatment should be made available to children who are born unusually
small, an Auckland panel of doctors won't ask Pharmac to supply more
of the necessary drug."

Acne at age two

"My sister, who was a nurse, said to me one day that Marie didn't
smell like a baby, and I thought: no, that's right, she doesn't. She
had a sort of body odour. So I went on the internet and typed in the
words breasts, tall, body odour, and it came back with precocious
puberty. I thought, oh my God."
